Lesson 8: You are the Healer

Day 50: You were born to heal



When you are sick or injured, your body automatically adjusts to make you well. We are all born with this ability. Your blood clots to seal a wound and stop the loss of blood. Your skin cells begin mending a cut as soon as an injury happens. Your bones build bridges of new bone tissue to repair a break. Your immune system sends cells to surround and eliminate pathogens that penetrate your defenses.


There is nothing required of you to make these systems work. You don’t have to consciously direct your body to make new cells. So why is it that so many people today have lost their natural ability to heal? How have we tipped the scales in favor of sickness and away from healing?


You are being called to return to your natural state of wholeness and healing. Your dis-ease is highlighting how you’ve interrupted your ability to heal and stay well.

This week, you will focus on your natural ability to be the healer. You have the power within you if you choose to access it.


Affirmation: As I sit in silence, I inhale deeply through the nose, holding the breath for a few seconds, and exhale completely through the mouth. On the inhale, I focus on receiving all that my body needs to remain healthy and strong. On the exhale, I force out all the toxins and depleted resources my body no longer needs. I draw in from the environment, I release to the environment. The balance of give and take supports me.
